The most exciting fashion of the season, in one of the most spectacular locations in Italy
Set in the otherworldly caves of Italy’s Grotta di Bossea, stylist Vittoria Cerciello and photographer Dario Catellani wanted to showcase the vibrant colors and textured cuts of spring’s most exciting pieces on model Anna Ewers.
“I wanted to frame Anna’s body with powerful, sexy yet artful shapes, clothes that had a feminist flavor,” says Cerciello, who also worked with makeup artist Vanessa Icareg to create bright, swirling patterns on Ewers with body painting.
the cave– which is in Piedmont – was first opened to the public in 1874 and features large stalagmite and stalactite formations. The interlocking caverns created a dreamlike atmosphere for the shoot, which featured a fringed delight by Halpern and swirling earrings by Panconesi. For those looking to add a touch of fantasy to their wardrobe, a Givenchy crochet sweater strikes the perfect balance between elevated and fearless style.
A candy-colored striped Chanel jacket pairs with the bold, retro patterns of a Paco Rabanne skirt. Meanwhile, the popular catsuit style (which was largely on the runways this season) appears as a Saint Laurent floral piece paired with equally eye-catching turquoise Dolce & Gabbana knee-high boots. —Jessica Gibbs
