Selena Gomez Doubles Color in Milan in Rare Beauty Tour
There are no days off for Selena Gomez. Immediately after finishing promoting the new season of her hit show Hulu, Only murders in the building, the actress hit the road for a promotional tour of her beauty line, Rare Beauty. She stopped in Santa Monica, before heading to Europe for an event at a Sephora in Paris and now Gomez is in Milan to do it all over again. With the help of her stylist, Kate Young, Gomez revisited each city with her looks, choosing native brands at every stop on the tour, so it’s only fitting that the duo opted for Prada for their trip to Italy’s capital of the fashion.
Gomez stepped out in Milan in a colorful head-to-toe Prada look. The actress wore a kelly green crepe de chine button-up shirt, with a toned down version of the brand’s triangular logo on the left chest. Instead of shying away from more color, Young and Gomez doubled down, teaming the top with a pleated miniskirt in amaranth and orange silk and wool. For accessories, they kept things simple, completing the look with black Prada pumps and gold Jennifer Fisher hoops.
Clearly, Gomez is a fan of this silhouette online as she opted for a similar look during her trip to Paris a few days earlier. For this stop, Gomez and Young chose a complete look from Alaïa, featuring a cropped houndstooth woven top and matching jacquard-knit miniskirt, with the same fit and flare aesthetic as the pleated Prada. Again, she kept the accessories simple, adding white Stuart Weitzman pumps and jewelry from Messika Paris, although the addition of Alaïa’s heart-shaped Couer bag added a cute detail to the look.
Who knows where Gomez will end up next on his Rare World Tour? Maybe London, or maybe New York to complement the fashion capitals. Let’s hope the fit and flare trend continues, because there’s nothing quite like the serotonin boost you get from watching Gomez in sheer joy while curtsying in her A-line skirts.
