I wear Primark 90p flip flops and spend my profits on Gucci sneakers for my little prince
A MUM-OF-ONE shared that she was happy spending £1,000 a month on designer gear for her toddler and wearing nothing but 90p flip flops and charity shopping.
Kasey Akram, 32, said she gave her son Jareem, a, everything he wanted.
The pampered tot is outfitted in designer clothes and has an extravagant collection of jewelry, including a £750 Versace chain and a £925 diamond-encrusted bracelet.
Kasey estimates she spends up to £1,000 a month on him using cash benefits, topped up once a year with an £800 Universal Credit loan.
Kasey, from Sheffield, said: ‘As soon as I had my baby boy my obsession changed from the way I looked to focus on my son. What Jareem wants, Jareem gets.
“The last pair of shoes I bought myself were 90p Primark flip flops.
“The same day, I bought him some Gucci sneakers. He likes flashy sneakers, but I would never let him walk around in cheap, tacky, awful sneakers.
The mother defended her right to splash her son as she saw fit.

Kasey said: “If I want to spend money on my son, that’s my choice.
“I don’t care if I walk around in Primark shoes as long as my prince has the best. He’s the most beautiful little boy in the world and I’ve argued with friends over everything I’ve spent on him .
“I will wear charity shop clothes while he wears a £50 t-shirt and if I had the choice I would walk around naked so he can wear whatever he wants.
“My ex-partner showed me my bank statements and said it was ridiculous that I was spending £250 a week on him.
“Everything Jareem likes he gets and if I can’t afford it I call his dad and get the money. I’m not working at the moment.
“I’m doing all of this through benefits and the help of my ex-partner, but he says I’m just throwing his money at Jareem and that’s where his problem comes in.”
