One of my first beauty internships was at Harper’s Bazaar, where every day flocked with such futuristic designer clothes and skin gadgets, the only way to find them was to translate websites into Korean. I will never forget emailing the very first manufacturer of LED light masks for a sample at the request of a publisher, to be informed that the price was $ 3,000.
As a farewell gift, my manager gave me Chanel skincare, which I quickly passed on to my mom – when I was 20 my collagen was strong. According to my mother, it was a gift from heaven. She loved having the Chanel logo on her counter, and Le Lift cream in particular filled in the fine lines that she had been battling since I was a teenager.
Move on to today and Chanel has added to its skin care line a few different collections of moisturizers, brighteners and anti-aging products. Still, this first Le Lift line has hit the nail on the head, and its cream is still winning praise from shoppers at their wit’s end with deep wrinkles, large pores, and less elastic skin.
“I have been using Le Lift Creme for several years now. LOVE it,” a 66-year-old woman wrote on the Chanel site of the results she sees with a pea-sized dose of cream. “I had been out of this for several months and was trying to get by with other anti aging products, but I keep coming back to this one. I saw an almost immediate improvement in the firmness and smoothness of the skin. the skin on my face. My face looks firmer. and less noticeably wrinkled. ” Another 66-year-old man says the formula leaves their skin smooth, soft, and free from stress lines.
The cream’s reliable results are derived from its formula, which includes Camellia Seed Oil, Sweet Potato Extract, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Hyaluronic Acid, Alpha Acids. hydroxy, collagen stimulating peptides, adenosine and alfalfa concentrate. The Derm Review notes that adenosine has proven anti-wrinkle benefits, as the ingredient is able to reduce crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles by stimulating collagen formation. Additionally, Chanel claims that alfalfa concentrate is as effective as retinol at firming and smoothing the skin. The jury of the medical literature is still not sure if this is the case, but alfalfa extract is a proven antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals that contribute to aging.
Big brands like Vintner’s Daughter and Youth to the People include the extract in their anti-aging products, and based on rave reviews of Lift Crème, there is definitely something to add. “I love this cream. Leaves my skin soft and dewy,” one person wrote.
“My skin is so amazing. I spent two months using other high end creams – no comparison,” says another, who has worked with Chanel Skin Care for 25 years. They’re not alone in devotion: Another buyer says he’s on his fourth jar of anti-aging pore-minimizing anti-aging, and the results are so deep they refuse to use anything else.
“I have been using Chanel moisturizers for years. Nothing compares to the quality of this product,” wrote a final reviewer. “My skin absorbs Le Lift quickly and completely, the scent is pleasant, [and] my skin stays smooth and healthy from wash to wash. ”
It’s expensive, but my mom can agree that you get what you pay for – or what you get, as the case may be.
