Savoir-Faire is the latest project in Carine and Cheng’s collaborative friendship, following the launch of the K11 Original Masters webinar series last year that spotlights renowned craft leaders at homes like Chanel and Dior. Cheng founded the K11 Craft & Guild Foundation (KCG) in 2019 as an arts and culture charity in Hong Kong, with an emphasis on the preservation of traditional Chinese crafts, education and l exchange of ideas, as well as future developments in design. Its K11 Group brand, founded in 2008, embraces innovative businesses in retail, luxury residences and workspaces through a unique and informed global perspective of the creative consumer experience.

“Through understanding craftsmanship – the transmission of tradition, ideas and techniques between societies and culture – fashion has created deeply collaborative relationships of connection and exchange,” said Cheng. “I am delighted to be working with Carine to bring a powerful illustration of the power of crafts and craftsmanship so that we can also collectively celebrate her innovation for the future. Together we present this unprecedented exhibition in Asia for the first time to rejuvenate Hong Kong’s cultural landscape.
